1951 (3 MY) cover from South Georgia to Oregan, USA, correctly franked at 3d foreign rate by 1946 'Thick Map' 1d black and violet (showing misplaced vignette) and 2d black and carmine, the latter exceptionally showing variety Missing 'I' in 'Shetland Is' (vignette plate '1', R1/2), tied by individual very fine strikes of type SG7 cds, with additional strike alongside. Philatelically inspired, and the 2d with minor frame ink smearing, still a very desirable item with any of the 'Thick Map' varieties rare on cover.
