QV-QEII mixed mint and used collector’s clearout in a carton, including 1880s unappropriated die imperforate values to £20 overprinted SPECIMEN, Ascension 1938-53 1½d black and vermilion perf 13 complete sheet of 60 with R5/1 davit flaw (SG 40ba, cat £372+), Bermuda 1938-53 5s (8, all mint), 10s (26 mint and one used), Brunei 1924-37 SPECIMEN set to $1 (less 1c, 6c black, 8c ultramarine), Cyprus 1938-51 sets to £1 (6 complete sets and many duplicates), Falkland Islands 1938-50 set to 1s3d with shades in mint blocks of 4 (cat £960+), France 1976 FDC signed by Prime Minister Pierre Messmer, Great Britain 1967 Jumelle Machin essay, India 1937-40 9p green in four blocks of 80 (cat £3,040+), Jamaica 1921-27 ½d green complete sheet of 120 with R8/6 bow flaw (cat £715+), Sweden 1940 letter signed by Prince Wilhelm, Duke of Södermanland. Also some ephemera, including Great Britain 1893 (August 18th) Downing Street circular condemning unnecessary surcharging of stamps for dealers and collectors, 1897 and 1898 notices from Somerset House pertaining to the regulations of postal stationery being impressed with higher rates of postage, 1931 brochure for air mail rates, 1958 correspondence from the Marquess of Anglesey to the Assistant Postmaster General regarding colour of the new Regional stamp issues, and a range of GPO posters for new issues and directions to philatelic post boxes.
