The Great War Pair and London Midland and Scottish Railways St John Ambulance Long Service Award for 1941, 1949 and 1954 awarded to Able Seaman Isaac John Ward Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve, Drake Battalion Royal Naval Division comprising, 1914-1920 British War and Victory Medals, (R.939 I. J. Ward. A.B. R.N.V.R.), London Midland and Scottish Railways St John Ambulance Long Service Award for 1941, 1949 and 1954 London Midland and Southern Ambulance Service, (I. J. Ward 2913811941), lightly toned very fine (3)
Isaac John Ward was on the 13th of July 1898 in Syston, Leicester, he joined the Royal Naval Division on the 15th of March 1917 and was mobilised on the 20th of March 1917 and posted to Drake Battalion R.N.D. He joined the Battalion in France on the 20th of March 1917. He suffered five bouts of Trench Foot and one bout of Trench Fever. He was Discharged from the R.N.V.R. 11th of March 1919.
