Description
The Orders, Decorations and Medals of D. Knecht, who served as an Ambassador to Annam, Dahomey and Tonkin and who died on the 27th of September 1902 and is buried in a Military Grave in Haiphong. Comprising, The Imperial Order of the Dragon of Annam, The Order of the Black Star Dahomey (today the Republic of Benin). Dahomey Expedition commemorative medal 1890-94, two Tonkin Expedition commemorative medals.

French Franco Prussian War Medal 1870-71,
Legion d’ Honneur 1870, Gold Centre (tested)
National Order of Public Health in Arthur Bertrand of Paris Case, with award certificate dated 15 March 1939 to Monsieur Jean Knecht and Form D.M.7 Part A Award of the Defence Medal to Mr J. J. C. Knecht who worked a Fire Watcher in London during the Blitz.
3 Orders of the Academic Palm two in cases of issue,
1914-1920 British Warv Medal to (50090 Pte. J. White. S. Lan. R.)
Toned Fine , enamel good on all medals except Order of Public Health which is chipped to Obverse, (13)
Sold with an original photograph in uniform of Ambassador Knecht wearing the Imperial Order of the Dragon and the Order of the Black Star all medals in a handwritten envelope detailing his life and death and awards written by his daughter in French.
