Birmingham, Kempson’s mule Halfpenny 1794, Merchant ship in full sail right (as Hants 16), rev. hedgehog crest and arms, edge CURRENT EVERYWHERE, 29mm/8.95gm. (DH 59). Another the same but plain edge , 29mm/9.22gm. (DH 59a). Another mule but obv. A mounted dragoon (as Norfk 47) with American edge I PROMICE TO PAY THE BEARER ONE CENT, 29mm/10.03gm. (DH 60c). Another slightly diff. style of mounted dragoon (as Norfk 46) with edge PAYABLE IN LONDON, rest engrailed, 29mm/7.62gm. (DH 61). Another the same but in brass, 28.5mm/9.38gm. (DH 61), DH 60c and 51 brass Extremely Fine and toned ‑ first weakly struck. Rest good Extremely Fine with varying amounts of original mint lustre. Off‑metal piece extremely rare ‘RRR’, DH 56 and 60c rare, others scarce. [5]
