Lancaster, Thomas Worswick & Sons (contemp. imitation) Halfpenny 1794, Bust left of John of Gaunt, rev. Lancaster arms, edge PAYABLE IN LANCASTER LONDON OR BRISTOL28mm/9.31gm. (DH 45). Another the same but edge PAYABLE AT LONDON OR DUBLIN, 27.5mm/9.25gm. (DH 45c). Another the same but edge milled, 28mm/8.64gm. (DH 45d). Another the same but unpublished edge CHANDOS ENT GARDEN, 28mm/9.05gm. DH 45e). Another but good quality die engraving, edge PAYABLE IN LANCASTER LONDON OR BRISTOL, 30.5mm/10.06gm. (DH 46). Another the same but edge PAYABLE AT W GYE’S PRINTER BATH, 29.5mm/9.62gm. (DH 46a), all Extremely Fine or better – especially last two, all toned but DH 45c has some original lustre. First three Rare, especially DH 45c and 45d which are RR, DH 45e of highest rarity and hitherto an unpublished edge. [6]
