Macclesfield, Roe & Co. Halfpenny 1791. Draped bust of Charles Roe right, rev. industry seated left holding auger and cogwheel, edge PAYABLE AT MACCLESFIELD LIVERPOOL OR CONGLETON .x. 30mm/12.41gm. (DH 29). Another similar, but top bar points to ‘Y’ on rev., 30mm/12.43gm. (DH 32). Another similar, but lower bar is below period, 29.5mm/12.22gm. (DH 34). Another similar but lower bar points to below period 30mm/12.39gm. (DH 36). Another similar, but coat edge lines with centre of ‘K’ on obv. and top bar points to foot of ‘Y’ on rev., 30mm/12.65gm. (DH 41). Another similar, but bar points to below ‘Y’ on rev. 30mm/12.45gm. (DH 48). Another similar, but top bar points to between ‘N’ and ‘Y’ on rev., 30.5mm/12.51gm. (DH 53). Another similar, but top bar points to second limb of ‘N’, 29.5mm/12.22gm. (DH 55). all generally Extremely Fine or better, DH 41 & 55 with almost full lustre, DH 32, 34 & 48 with traces, DH 48 Rare [8].
