Sheffield, Uncertain Issuer (J Hands ?) Halfpenny 1793, Hatted and draped bust left, rev. Crest and arms of the Cutlers’ Company, edge diagonally milled, 28.75mm/10.60gm. (DH 56a). Sheffield, anonymous, (possibly J Hands), Halfpenny 1794, Three men at an anvil, rev. Coat of arms – sheaf of arrows (city of Sheffield), edge rounded plain (DH 68), 28.75mm/10.37gm. (DH 57). Sheffield, John Hands (scissor case maker) Halfpenny 1794, Four clasped hands in cruciform, rev. Sheffield Arms, edge engrailed, 28.25mm/10.92gm. (DH 59). Another but in brass, 28.25mm/10.73gm. (DH 59), DH 59 Extremely Fine with some original lustre, rest about Extremely Fine for issue (crude), brass specimen weakly struck as well – extremely rare in this off‑metal, first also extremely rare edge ‘RRR’.
