Hull, Jonathan Garton brass Halfpenny 1791 merchant ship in full sail right, rev. Arms of Hull in an oaken wreath, edge PAYABLE AT THE WAREHOUSE OF JONATHAN GARTON & Co .x., 28.5mm/1.31gm. (DH 22). Another similar, copper and legend PRO BONO PUBLICO now added to rev. edge, CURRENT EVERYWHERE, 28.25mm/9.63gm. (DH 23) Another the same but in brass, 28.75mm/9.29gm. (DH 23). Another the same but edge PYABLE IN LONDON BRISTOL & LANCASTER, 28.5mm/9.94gm. (DH 23a). Another the same but in brass, 28.5mm/10.17gm. (DH23a). Another but a mule – St. Andrew obv., 29mm/9.87gm. (DH 25), copper pieces generally Extremely Fine or better with traces of lustre, brass pieces generally good Very Fine or better, yellow toned – all these off‑metal pieces extremely rare ‘RRR’. [6]
