Naval General Service Medal 1909-62, GVR, one clasp, Persian Gulf 1909-1914, awarded to Stoker 1st Class Frank Foord, Royal Navy, H.M.S. Philomel, (K.457 F. Foord, Sto. 1 CL. H.M.S. Philomel), lightly toned very fine. (1),
Frank Foord was born on the 16th of October 1885, he joined the Royal Navy on the 4th of March 1908 stating that he was a Clerk. He served aboard H.M.S. Philomel from the 5th of October 1911 until the 22nd of October 1913. During the Great War he served aboard H.M.S. Topaz, mostly in the Mediterranean Theatre. He was Discharged to Shore on the 15th of April 1920.
He is entitled to a 191-15 Star Trio. Sold with Copy Service Papers, Copy Medal Roll confirming the clasp Persian Gulf 1909-1914 and Copy Medal Roll for his Great War Medal entitlement
