An Unissued Waterloo Medal 1815,&nbsp;unmounted Specimen, 40mm, toned, very polished, fine (1)“This Silver Medal was apparently intended for officers who took part in the Battle of Waterloo but was never issued.&nbsp; Later a smaller version was issued.&nbsp; Measuring only 37mm in diameter which depicts the profile of the Prince Regent on the obverse with a smaller bust.”This medal is rubbed and may have been named on the rim, but shows no signs of being mounted.&nbsp; It is listed in the book Entitled “Historic Medal of Great Britain” No880, as being extremely rare, a copy of this entry is sold with the lot.
