H. C. Game. R.F.A.), 1914-1920 British War and Victory Medals, (Capt. H.C. Game.), 1939-45 Defence Medal, unnamed as issued, 1935 Jubilee Medal, unnamed as issued, 1937 Coronation Medal, unnamed as issued. Lightly toned very fine (8)
Henry Collingwood Game, a bohemian artist living in Primrose Hill in 1911, was Commissioned Temporary Lieutenant on the 28th of October 1914. Promoted to Captain 31st of January 1916. He landed in France on the 25th of July 1915. He was awarded the OBE in the London Gazette of the 7th of January 1918for his work in the Design Department of the Ministry of Munitions. He relinquished his Commission on the 29th of March 1919. He was made Examiner of Plays in the London Gazette of the 20th of July 1936 and again in the Gazette of the 2nd of March 1937. In the 1939 census 1939 Register, he's a Lord Lt Examiner of Plays. He was made a Member of the Royal Victorian Order, 4th Class, in the London Gazette of the 1st of January 1941and promoted to Commader of the said Order in the London Gazette of the 1st of January 1952. He died on the 28th of May 1966 in Berkshire leaving £73,070.
