George V (1910-36), Proof Sixpence, 1927, bare head left, BM on truncation for engraver Bertram Mackennal, legend surrounding, GEORGIVS V DEI GRA BRITT OMN REX FD.IND IMP. Rev, oak wreath with outer acorns, K G [engraver Kruger Gray], date and denomination around (S.4040; Bull.3898; ESC.1816). Obverse somewhat mott led in tone, reverse crisp and without blemish. About as struck, scarce.
