Charles I (1625-1649), Shilling, 1645, Ashby-de-la Zouch, horseman of Bristol type left, mm. plume on obverse, A on reverse, reverse Declaration in three lines, three plumes above, A below, 5.87g (Morr. A-1; SCBI Brooker –; N.2518; S.3031). Some striking cracks otherwise about very fine for this poorly struck issue. Extremely rare.
