Highlights of the ancient section include superb Greek silver, such as standout Syracuse tetradrachms and a rare Medusa stater from Neapolis. This is followed by notable Roman pieces including a portrait denarius of Pompey the Great, an impressive Augustus sestertius, and a very rare aureus of Vitellius.
