Description
Limerick mint, struck 1472-1478 (?). Crowned facing bust, cinquefoils flanking, L on breast, all within tressure of nine arches, trefoil at end of each arc. Rev, long cross pattée, triple pellets in quarters, cinquefoil replacing pellet in two of the quarters (S. 6343; SCBI 22 (Copenhagen) –; D&F, p. 31). Near Very Fine, toned, a couple of marks under tone on rev., ghosting on obv.
