Anne (1702-14), Halfcrown, 1708, second draped bust facing left, legend reads ANNA DEI GRATIA, toothed border both sides. Rev, inverted die axis, post-union crowned cruciform shields, seven strings to Irish harp, plain in angles, garter star at centre, date either side of top crown, legend reads MAG BRI FR ET HIB REG., edge inscription +.DECVS.ET. TVTAMEN. .ANNO. REGNI. SEPTIMO (S.3604; Bull.1366; ESC 577; MCE.940). Olive blue tone accentuated by original mint gold blossom across the surfaces. Portrait well struck up, some faint haymarking, the reverse well defined with few carbon streaks both sides. Extremely fine.
