ΦIΛETAIPOY, Athena seated left, holding spear and shield decorated with a Medusa head, throne decorated with ‘A’, vine leaf to left, bow to right. (Ingvaldsen, Philetaerus 8, dies VII/21; Newell, Pergamene 15, dies XVIII/39; SNG BN 1601; Pozzi 2249). Good Very Fine. A few marks. Superb portrait of excellent style.  Ex.
