Description
Edward VI (1547‑53), Sixpence, Third period [1551‑53], fine silver, mintmark tun both sides, wire inner circle within beaded circle, crowned bust facing, rose to left, mark of value to right, legend reads EDWARD VI DG AGL FRA Z HIB REX. Rev, legend commences POSVI DEV A DIVTOR E MEV, square topped quartered coat of arms over long cross fourchée, 2.79g (S.2483; N.1938). Toned, some obverse weakness with a pleasing portrait, legends coherent both sides. Struck on nice round flan, bold fine, reverse better.
