Description
Crowned and robed King enthroned, holding orb and sceptre, pillar either side, portcullis below, dividing legend, Rev. Square-topped shield of arms over long cross fourchée, denomination about, surrounded by alternating lis, lions, and roses, 12.48g/5h. (N. 2108; S. 2632; Sch. 77). About Very Fine, most likely a water find with corresponding marks, but overall a pleasing example. An unusual chance to obtain an impressive Jacobean coin at a very reasonable price.
