King crowned, standing facing in ship, holding sword and quartered shield, Rev. Lombardic E and saltire at centre of floriated cross, terminals ending in lis, crown over lion over trefoil in each angle, within beaded and linear tressures of eight arcs, fleurs in spandrels, 7.67g/6h. (N. 1278; S. 1519). Good Very Fine, reverse better, with some peripheral weakness and light marks to top half of obverse. A bold portrait.
