Description
ANTONINVS AVGVSTVS, laureate draped and cuirassed bust of Caracalla right. Rev. PONT-IFEX TR P III, emperor standing left, holding Victory and sceptre, bound captive to left. (C. 408; RIC 343). Extremely Fine. Very Rare. Described as simply ‘same type’ as the aureus, 407, in Cohen without further elaboration. No other denarii of this type present on CoinArchives.
