Description
Majority, Silver Medal (36mm/27.56gm) by W. Wyon. Bust left with wreath of roses in hair. Rev, HER ROYAL HIGHNESS THE PRINCESS VICTORIA BORN XXIV MAY MDCCCXIX, within wreath (E. 1294; BHM 1745A). A couple of very minor scuffs and scratches, otherwise Extremely Fine with eye-catching rainbow patina both sides.
Coronation, Gold Medal (36mm/31.26gm), official Royal Mint issue, by B. Pistrucci. Draped bust left with band in hair, VICTORIA D.G. BRITANNIARUM REGINA F.D. Rev, Britannia, Hibernia and Scotia offer the crown to Victoria, ERIMUS TIBI NOBILE REGNUM, with INAUGURATA DIE JUNII XXVIII MDCCCXXXVIII in exergue (E. 1315; BHM 1801). A couple of minor obv. digs, otherwise Good Extremely Fine, some hairlines but with much brilliance.
Diamond Jubilee, Gold Medal (26mm/12.72gm), official Royal Mint issue, by G. W. de Saulles. Crowned, veiled and draped bust left, VICTORIA ANNVUM REGNI SEXAGESIMVM FELICITER CLAVDIT XX IVN. MDCCCXCVII. Rev, Young head left, laurel below, LONGITVDO DIERVM IN DEXTERA EIVS ET IN SINISTRA GLORIA, 1837 (E. 1817b; BHM 3506). Much As Struck, a few toning spots both sides.
All three medals housed in a fully sealed triangular red leather and teal velvet display. Display contained in fitted red leather case by Lambert Jewellers, Coventry St., London, initials C H on lid. An unusual, high quality case in excellent condition.
