Description
William III (1694‑1702), Crown, 1700, edge DVODECIMO, third laureate and draped bust variety right, long thin tie ends, toothed border surrounding both sides. Rev, crowned cruciform shields, angles plain, Lion of Nassau struck at centre, eight strings to Irish third harp, date flanking top crown, (S.3474; ESC. 97; Bull 1010). A choice and well struck example with much underlying brilliance. Almost uncirculated, with a very minor nick on the king’s portrait.
