Mintmark cross potent on rev. only. King standing in ship, holding sword and shield, legend reads ED | WARD : DEI : GRA : REX : ANGL : DNS : HYB . Z . AQ T, double saltire stops, single saltire before EDWARD. Rev, cross fleurdelisée, crowned leopards in angles, E at centre, legend reads IhC : AVTEM : TRANSIENS : PER : MEDIV : ILLORVM IBAT “But Jesus, passing through the midst of them, went His way,” 7.72gm (S. 1502; N. 1231; Schneider I, 75). Good Extremely Fine and well struck producing a particularly sharp portrait of the king, however, almost indiscernible filing to rims.
