William I ‘the Conqueror’ (1066-1087) AR Penny, Two Stars type (1074-1077), London, Godwin. Crowned and diademed bust facing with a star to either side, + PILLELM REX AN, rev. Cross botonée with central pellet over quadrilateral with incurved side, + GODPINE ON LVN, 1.29gm. &nbsp;(N 845; S 1254). Good Extremely Fine, well struck with beautiful iridescent toning – an outstanding example of this issue and once graded by PCGS as ‘MS63’. Superb!&nbsp;
