Edward VI (1547-1553), Second Period, Second Issue, Half-Sovereign, mm Arrow, Southwark, * EDWARD .' VI : D .' G .' AGL .' FRA ' Z .' HIB .' REX *, youthful crowned and cuirassed bust right, rev. (m.m.) SCVTVM * FIDEI * PROTEGET * EVM, crowned oval and elaborately garnished shield, dividing E-R, 5.45g. (N.1911; S.2438). Choice extremely fine and about as struck. Portrait exceptional. A couple of natural trivial flaws in the field. The reverse well struck also.
