Late Anglo‑Saxon / Viking (c. AD 1000) Stirrup Mount, Urnes style, copper‑alloy (47x31mm, 22.72g). A copper-alloy stirrup mount with two rivet-holes, one still containing a corroded iron rivet, top rivet‑hole missing. Mount decorated with a knotted and interlaced animal, likely a hound. Underside plain. (British Museum #1862,0321.6 for comparison). Pleasing brown‑green patina. Top rivet‑hole missing, pierced in centre, likely damage due to use.
