Description
Caria, Antioch ad Meandrum (c. Mid‑Late 2nd Century BC) AR Tetradrachm, Diotrephes, magistrate (third time), 15.54g. Laureate head of Apollo facing right, bow and quiver over shoulder. Rev. Zebu (humped bull) standing left, ANTIOXEΩN above, ΔIOTPEΦHΣ/TO TPITON below, all within a meander pattern border. (Lanz 125; Gorny & Mosch 151, lot 190; Otherwise unpublished). Very Fine. Some deposits. Extremely Rare, only the second known of this magistrate in office for the third time.
