Charles I (1625 ‑1649), AR Halfcrown, 14.54gm., Tower Mint, group IV, fourth style horseman ‑ type 4 – horse foreshortened, with no caparisons, king with sword upright and double sash flying from shoulders, rev. oval garnished arms, no CR. Mintmark star ‑ 1640‑41. (cf Brooker 369; N.2214; S.2779). Good Very Fine, two dents on obv., nicely struck and toned.
