Edward VI (1547‑53), Crown, 1551, third period (1550‑53), fine silver issue, mintmark: y. Armoured King with upright sword on horseback right, date 1551 below, linear and beaded circles surrounding, mint mark Y, legend surrounds EDWΛRD VI DG ΛGL FRANC Z HIBER REX Y. Rev, long cross fourchée over quartered shield of arms, reads POSVI DEV Λ DIVTOR EM MEVM Y, 29.62gm (S. 2478; N. 1933; Lingford dies A‑9). A few small marks in obverse field and slightly double‑struck on ‘E’ of EDWΛRD, otherwise Very Fine and on a full flan, toned, rare.
