Description
mm: lis issuant from rose / crowned leopard's head (1499). Crowned facing bust within tressure, double arches to crown, one jewelled, no stops, fleurs on cusps, rev. Long cross with trio of pellets in each quarter, saltire stops in outer legend only, (Stewartby p.436; N 1705c; S 2199). Good Very Fine –well struck and attractively toned, particularly good example and very rare.
