Having worked at the company since 2016, Neil Paisley is the Managing Director of Baldwin’s, and his specialisms include hammered and milled coins.
Neil is a graduate of Manchester Grammar, where he studied History, Latin and Classical Civilisation, and, prior to joining SGB, he ran his own coin company in Manchester.
Over the years, Neil has catalogued and brought many significant collections to auction, including the Alderley Collection of Pennies, which broke numerous records for bronze and copper sold at auction.
Neil has made a significant impact at SGB, bringing the Frank Waley Collection of hammered silver and gold to auction, in which a Queen Anne Five Guinea coin hammered for £120,000. In retail, Neil sold a 1797 Proof Cartwheel Penny struck in gold for £200,000 in 2023.
For a number of years, Neil has been an active member of the IAPN and the BNTA.
