Mark Smith is the Orders, Decorations and Military Medals Specialist at Stanley Gibbons Baldwin’s, having worked here since 2016.He holds a Master’s degree in Museum Studies from UCL, and prior to joining SGB, spent 12 years as the Curator of the Royal Artillery Museum in Woolwich. Mark’s wealth of expertise has allowed him to bring various significant collections to auction, a particular favourite of his being the Hartenstein Hotel, Battle of Arnhem Military Medal.Outside of SGB, Mark can often be seen as the Medals Expert on the BBC television programme The Antiques Roadshow, and is an active member of The Orders and Medals Research Society.
