Dickon Pollard has worked as a Senior Philatelist at SGB since 2016, and his particular strengths lie in British Commonwealth philately. After graduating from York University with a degree in English and Related Literature, Dickon worked at Murray Payne Ltd, where he was a partner. There, he handled collections belonging to Ivor Little, Harold Green and Charles Freeland.
At SGB, Dickon’s expertise has been invaluable in bringing to auction several notable collections, such as the Gaur Family Indian States collection, the Indica India Telegraphs Collection, the David Spivack Admirals, the Academic series, and the Dr Arnold Brickman Double Heads and Admirals.
During his career, Dickon wrote a long series of articles on KG VI Philately for Stamp Magazine, and has been a member of the BPA committee since 1999.
