GB family correspondence to Chard 1764-1845

Description
1764-1845 interesting correspondence from the Hood family with pre-stamp through to imperf 1d reds, all West Country including 6 early County maps by Cary, beautifully hand-coloured, Bishop marks, early straightlines, fine Christchurch 1784 "X=/CHURCH", "Apple" Frees, instructional marks, interesting contents to some including Napoleonic War references. Then 1d black covers (4) including 1a LF with "Too Late", 1b AF (part marginal inscription and placed centrally), 1b RK, 2 AK, 1d reds with 20 DG with small Dorchester CDS, 21 GG with large type CDS, 21 QB with large type CDS, London numbers in Cross including No 1, 2 (2), 5, 6 (6), 7, 8 (2), 9, 10 (2) and 12 on a single stamp - rare thus. No 1 on an 1841 2d blue, then imperf reds with Maltese Cross etc. Many with interesting contents, many in fine condition, inspection recommended.
